Shoot Your Face a proposé à des chercheurs, experts et intellectuels, passionnés par l’observation et la compréhension du monde, à partir de leur pratique disciplinaire de recherche et de leur terrain d’étude, de partager leur ressenti vis à vis de l’entité «Rabat» au centre de son contexte national. En explicitant des clefs de lecture cardinales de cette société urbaine, chaque contributeur a pu ainsi fournir sa propre perception et sa grille d’analyse sous une forme synthétique et spontanée.
L’exercice de coordination auquel s’est livré le Comité éditorial de Shoot Your Face n’a pas été celui d’un classique «appel à contribution», contraint dans sa trame et son périmètre, tel qu’il prévaut dans le monde académique. Au contraire, cette «variation sur le thème» était a priori davantage destinée à constituer, par touches successives, un tableau plus impressionniste que figuratif. Pourtant, très vite, la mise en perspective des différentes contributions va faire apparaître des convergences, des polarités thématiques et des axes structurants extrêmement significatifs.
Shoot Your Face invited researchers, experts and intellectuals, passionate about observing and understanding the world, to share their feelings about the entity "Rabat" at the centre of its national context, based on their disciplinary research practice and their field of study. By clarifying the cardinal reading keys of this urban society, each contributor was able to provide his or her own perception and analysis grid in a synthetic and spontaneous form.
The coordination exercise undertaken by the Shoot Your Face editorial committee was not a classic "call for contributions", constrained in its framework and scope, as is the case in the academic world. On the contrary, this "variation on the theme" was a priori more intended to constitute, by successive touches, a painting that was more impressionistic than figurative. However, very quickly, the perspective of the different contributions will reveal convergences, thematic polarities and extremely significant structuring axes.
